Living It Out This Week
Holy Week: A time to slow down and reflect on the last week of the life of Jesus. It is meant to help us focus on his humility, sacrifice, and depth of love for us. May these verses help you focus on Jesus this week! Invite someone to Easter Resurrection Sunday!
Sunday-Matthew 21.1-11: Jesus comes riding into Jerusalem preparing for what He knew was coming. He came humbly without any swords and proclaimed who He is. How does Jesus give you hope?
Monday-Psalm 46.1-11: We all need reminders of who God is and what He can do. How does this Psalm remind us about God’s plan and protection? Pray for His strength.
Tuesday-John 14.15-31: Though Jesus is about to die He continues to give comfort, grace, and peace. Notice the promise of the Holy Spirit and how He will change our lives. Spend some time praying for peace in our world!
Wednesday-Luke 22.1-38: The telling of the Last Supper as we know it. How does the Last Supper help us have hope in Jesus? Notice the disciples did not always get it right, neither will we. However, notice that Jesus still loves them.
Thursday-John 17.6-26: Jesus prays for His disciples: the 12, you and me. What does Jesus’ prayer reveal about Him and us? Spend some time reflecting on how Jesus prayed for you and how this will make you different.
Friday-Matthew 27.32-56: The death of Jesus. What sticks out to you from this passage? How does hearing this story remind you why today is “Good Friday”?
Saturday-John 1.14: Join us in worship tomorrow! Pray for our worship tomorrow. Pray that our eyes would see the Lord! Invite someone to church.
