1. What did you do for New Years? Did you make any New Year’s Resolutions?


2. Recount all that’s happened up to Exodus 5. How would characterize Moses, Aaron, and the Hebrews up to this point?


3. How do you think obeying God reveals more of God and His plan for our lives? Have you had any personal experience with this?


4. Have you had an experience, spiritual or otherwise, where you did not receive an outcome that you were expecting? How did you deal with that?


5. Read Exodus 5. How would you summarize this chapter?


6. How do you understand the role of obedience in the life of a Christian? Do you tend to be more legalistic, or “cheap grace” oriented? (If you don’t know what “cheap grace” means, google “Dietrich Bonhoeffer cheap grace”)


7. Can you recount a time that God has used suffering in your life, for your good, and His glory? If you’re in the midst of suffering right now, share that with your group, that they may carry the burden with you, in the hope of the good that God will bring about.
