Part of The Ten—Laws of Grace

Exodus 20:1-2

1 And God spoke all these words, saying,

2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

God toward Israelites first, they deserved it and in spite of them not deserving it, and He powerfully them into relationship with Himself.

God toward us first, we deserve it and in spite of us not deserving it, and He powerfully us into relationship with Himself.

  • We are enslaved to sin like the Israelites were enslaved to Egypt.

Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. —John 8:34

  • Jesus is the new and better passover lamb.

The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! —John 1:29

  • Jesus is the new and better Moses.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. —John 8:36

  • Jesus delivers us into relationship with God.

More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. —Romans 5:11

The grace of God means that we rather than .

The grace of God means that we rather than .

If you never do another thing for God, do you that God’s grace is for you?

The grace of God means that we rather than .

Do you spend more time thinking about where you than how Jesus is for you?

The grace of God means that we receive rather than earn.
