God, who gives me strength when I’m exhausted

แซมสันใช้ชีวิตที่ขับเคลื่อนด้วยอารมณ์แทนการทรงนำของพระวิญญาณและทำให้เขาหลงทาง

Samson lived a life driven by emotions rather than being led by the Spirit, and it led him astray.

‘สิ่งดีๆที่ผมอยากทำนั้น ผมไม่ได้ทำ แต่กลับไปทำในสิ่งที่ชั่วร้ายที่ผมไม่อยากทำ เพราะฉะนั้นถ้าผมทำในสิ่งที่ผมไม่อยากทำ ก็แสดงว่าไม่ใช่ผมที่เป็นคนทำ แต่เป็นบาปที่อยู่ในผมต่างหากที่ทำ’ (โรม 7:19-20)

For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. (Romans 7:19-20)

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. (Galatians 5:16-17)

‘แต่ผมขอบอกว่า ให้ใช้ชีวิตตามพระวิญญาณ แล้วคุณจะไม่ทำตามกิเลสตัณหาของสันดาน ความต้องการของพระวิญญาณนั้นขัดแย้งกับกิเลสตัณหาของสันดาน ทั้งสองจึงต่อต้านกันโดยตรง เพื่อขัดขวางไม่ให้คุณทำในสิ่งที่คุณอยากจะทำ’ (กาลาเทีย 5:16-17)

Two Emotions That Bring Down the Strong

1. แซมสันถูกเผาไหม้ด้วยไฟแห่งความโกรธ
(Samson was consumed by the fire of anger.)

‘…(แซมสัน) เขาไปที่อัชเคโลน และฆ่าชาวเมืองผู้ชายที่นั่นสามสิบคน และยึดเครื่องเทียมม้าและเอาชุดเที่ยวงานไปให้กับคนที่แก้ปริศนาของเขา เขาจึงกลับบ้านพ่อของเขาด้วยความโกรธจัด และเมียของแซมสันก็ถูกยกไปให้กับเพื่อนเจ้าบ่าวแทน’ (ผู้วินิจฉัย 14:19-20)

Then the Spirit of the LORD came powerfully upon him. He went down to Ashkelon, struck down thirty of their men, stripped them of everything and gave their clothes to those who had explained the riddle. Burning with anger, he returned to his father’s home. And Samson’s wife was given to one of his companions who had attended him at the feast. (Judges 14:19-20)

2. แซมสันเต็มไปด้วยความหยิ่งยโส
(Samson was filled with pride.)

เขาเจอกระดูกขากรรไกรลาที่ยังสดๆอยู่ เขาเอื้อมมือไปหยิบมันขึ้นมา และใช้มันฆ่าคนเหล่านั้นไปหนึ่งพันคนแล้วแซมสันพูดว่า “ด้วยกระดูกขากรรไกรลา ฉันฆ่าพวกเขาเป็นกองๆ ด้วยกระดูกขากรรไกรลา ฉันฆ่าคนไปหนึ่งพันคน” (ผู้วินิจฉัย 15:15-16)

He found a fresh jawbone of a donkey, so he reached out his hand and took it and killed a thousand men with it. Then Samson said, “With the jawbone of a donkey, Heaps upon heaps, With the jawbone of a donkey I have struck down a thousand men.” (Judges 15:15-16)

แต่พระเจ้าได้ให้ความเมตตามากยิ่งขึ้นไปอีก พระคัมภีร์ถึงได้พูดไว้ว่า “พระเจ้าต่อต้านคนหยิ่งยโส แต่พระองค์เมตตาปรานีกับคนที่อ่อนน้อมถ่อมตน” (ยากอบ 4:6)

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. (James 4:6)

ความเย่อหยิ่งนำไปสู่ความหายนะ ความจองหองนำไปสู่การล้มลง (สุภาษิต 16:18)

Pride goeth before destruction, And an haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18)

แซมสันอยู่ในสภาพที่ต้องการความช่วยเหลือ

Samson found himself in a state of needing help.

ถ้าคุณให้ความต้องการพาคุณเข้าใกล้พระเจ้า พระเจ้าจะตอบสนองความต้องการที่ลึกที่สุดภายในใจของคุณ

If you let your needs draw you closer to God, He will fulfill the deepest desires of your heart.

เนื่องจากแซมสันกระหายน้ำมากจึงทูลวิงวอน องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าว่า “พระองค์ทรงให้ผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์มีชัยชนะยิ่งใหญ่ขนาดนี้ แต่ข้าพระองค์จะต้องมาตายด้วยความกระหาย และตกอยู่ในเงื้อมมือของคนที่ไม่ได้เข้าสุหนัตอย่างนั้นหรือ?” แล้วพระเจ้าทรงให้น้ำพุ่งขึ้นมาจากแอ่งที่เลฮี เมื่อแซมสันดื่มน้ำก็ฟื้นกำลังและสดชื่นขึ้น (ผู้วินิจฉัย 15:18-19)

Because he was very thirsty, he cried out to the LORD, “You have given your servant this great victory. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?” Then God opened up the hollow place in Lehi, and water came out of it. When Samson drank, his strength returned and he revived. So the spring was called En Hakkore, and it is still there in Lehi. (Judges 15:18-19)
