Rebuilding Mission
Nehemiah 13:1-31
Series - “NEHEMIAH: A Story of Rebuilding”
Today our series from the Book of Nehemiah comes to a close. We watched a servant of the king of
Babylon rise to the role of governor of Judah. He was consumed by God’s plan to rebuild the walls
and the community of Jerusalem, so that they might once again live as the people of God.
This was Nehemiah’s mission.
Companies are created with a mission. Armies are tasked with a mission.
Churches write mission-statements. The Christian is given this mission:
“to go and make disciples of all nations.”
What happened to the mission of Jerusalem?
