Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father.
James 1:17

Shout joyful praises to God, all the earth! 2Sing about the glory of his name! Tell the world how glorious he is. 3Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! Your enemies cringe before your mighty power. 4Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs.” Interlude 5Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people! 8Let the whole world bless our God and loudly sing his praises. 9Our lives are in his hands, and he keeps our feet from stumbling. 16Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me.
Psalm 1-5, 8-9, 16

4the other administrators and high officers began searching for some fault in the way Daniel was handling government affairs, but they couldn’t find anything to criticize or condemn. He was faithful, always responsible, and completely trustworthy. 5So they concluded, “Our only chance of finding grounds for accusing Daniel will be in connection with the rules of his religion.” 10But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God.
Daniel 6:4-5, 10

15So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. 17Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. 20give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 5: 15-17, 20

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
Psalm 118:29

God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
Romans 5:8

26While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” 27Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Matthew 26:26-28

16Always be joyful. 17Never stop praying. 18Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
