Missing Pieces
It is ok to not be ok.
I am not ok and don’t have the strength to be ok.
Romans 7:18-19 (NLT)
18 And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to do what is right, but I can’t. 19 I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway
I am not ok and don’t have the strength to be ok, but I have HOPE.
Hope is: a trustworthy anchor for our soul.
Hebrews 6:13-19 (NLT)
19 This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.
How do I know I have a trustworthy anchor for my soul?
1. God will not
Romans 5:5 - 6 (NLT)
5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. 6 When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.
2. God’s power is greater
Philippians 2:13 (NLT)
13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.
3. God hasn’t finished
Jeremiah 29:11 - 13 (NLT)
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.
