1. THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN ETERNITY PRESENT
A. God’s plan: To
1) The Messiah – King of prophecy.

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder…”
“… of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end…” —ISAIAH 9:6-7
“And I bestow upon you a Kingdom, just as my Father bestowed one upon Me” —LUKE 22:29
2) This King will also be a Savior (Jesus = “Jehovah Saves”).

3) Both the kingdoms of men and of Satan that operate in opposition to God, will
REVELATION 11:15; REVELATION 19-22
4) When Christ has subdued all the kingdoms of men and the kingdom of Satan, the last enemy He will subdue will be

B. From the very beginning of His earthly ministry, Christ initiated the
“Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled and the Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel’” —MARK 1:14-15; MATTHEW 4:17
Jesus did not come preaching the gospel of the
JESUS GIVES SIGNS OF THE PRESENT KINGDOM OF GOD —MATTHEW 4:23-24
When you read MATTHEW 4:23-24, the Kingdom of God is invading the world and reality of man.
THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NOT JUST A DECLARATION; IT IS ALSO A DEMONSTRATION
THIS IS A PROMISE THAT IS NOT ONLY FULFILLED IN HIM (JESUS), BUT IN YOU AND THE PEOPLE OF YOUR CHURCH
C. Christ’s everlasting Kingdom is synonymous with His rule.

If they rejected Jesus, they were also rejecting the

They (Jewish religious leaders) wanted an earthly Kingdom with themselves on the top of the pile!
Sometimes leaders in the Body of Christ approach the Kingdom of God the same way. They want their own kingdom and they want to be on top of the pile.
We have not been called to be

III. challenged Jesus’
IV. challenged Jesus’

E. The Messiah-King was born among the remnant of Israel, by the tribe of Judah, prophetically fulfilling GENESIS 49:10; ISAIAH 11; LUKE 1:26-35, they ultimately
JESUS REJECTED —MATTHEW 23:37-39; MATTHEW 27:15-26
F. In rejecting Jesus as the Messiah, they forfeited God’s PLAN for them.
