This morning we are going to focus on a very interesting subject matter that is often followed by a lot of questions. Our focus this morning is that of blaspheme.

Our text states that whoever blasphemes the name of the LORD shall be put to death.

After reading our text there are several obvious questions.

1. What did this guy say?
2. What does blasphmey mean? Matt. 18:31-32; 2 Kings 18:29-30
3. How does verse 19-20 fit into all of this? Matt. 5:38-39

Indeed blaspheme leads us to death, but it is not necessary. Our Lord has provided a way for us to never die, and that is by repenting, believing, and committing our lives to becoming a faithful follower of Him.
