1 Kings 7:27-51

7:27-37 | To hold the basins of water needed to clean the sacrificial animals, Solomon had Huram make ten carts of bronze. Even these utilitarian objects were things of beauty and were placed symmetrically on the two sides of the Sea (2 Chron. 4:6). This beauty reflected the majesty and glory of God. Those who engage in the arts have an opportunity to likewise express God’s majesty and glory.

7:40-51 | All the furnishings correspond to virtually identical utensils in the tabernacle. King David had prepared and dedicated these furnishings for temple service (2 Sam. 8:11; 1 Chron. 22:14; 29: 29:1-9). The treasuries were probably the rooms of the temple in the surrounding structure.
