No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. Matthew 5:15

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you
will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem,
throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin,
you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto
the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation
yourself. 2 Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of
Christ. 3 If you think you are too important to help someone, you are
only fooling yourself. You are not that important. Galatians 6:1-3

2 But soon it was time for the Jewish Festival of Shelters, 3 and Jesus’
brothers said to him, “Leave here and go to Judea, where your followers
can see your miracles! 4 You can’t become famous if you hide like this!
If you can do such wonderful things, show yourself to the world!” 5 For
even his brothers didn’t believe in him
John 7:2-9

44 But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute
you! 45 In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in
heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he
sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. 46 If you love only those
who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors
do that much. 47 If you are kind only to your friends, how are you
different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. 48 But you are to be
perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:44–48

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday,
ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around
life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does
for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-
adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead,
fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily
recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the
culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity,
God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
Romans 12:1-2 MSG
