Salvation "It's Structure"
What Do You Believe?

What are some of the words that we find in the Bible about Salvation? How prepared are we at telly others about what God has done in us, and how He can do the same fore them? Let’s look at these truths to understand so we are prepared as we share them with others.

GRACE

Grace is the

of God that provides salvation.

Ephesians 2:8 says:
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Romans 5:20 says:
Moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

FAITH

Faith is

and personal to Jesus Christ for eternal salvation.

Faith means to believe, but it is more than just with the mind. —Herschel Hobbs

Romans 10:9, 10 says:
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Here is how salvation works and the new birth comes about. I put my faith in God’s grace. It is not faith that saves; it is the grace that saves. Faith just lays hold of that grace. Think of grace as God’s hand of love reaching down from heaven, saying, ‘I love you. I want to save you.’ It is a nail pierced hand because He has paid for our sins. Think of faith as your sin-stained hand, saying, ‘God, I need you. I want you.’ And when you put your faith in God’s hand of grace, that is salvation. —Adrian Rogers

REGENERATION

Regeneration means

. Regeneration is the working of God’s grace within our lives, as well as working out of our lives.

What God has worked “in” us, He will also work “out” of us, or through us! —Steve Abney

John 3:1-8 says:
There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says:
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

New Creature = New Birth
New Birth = New Creature

REPENTANCE

Repentance is

for sin, a genuine turning from sin.

Repenting of sin means that one changes his thoughts and feelings about sin, resolving to forsake sin and live for God. —John Broadus

Repentance is turning around and away from sin with a new view of

and a new understanding of .

Luke 15:17-18 says:
And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go unto my father, and say to him, Father I have sinned against heaven and before thee.

Acts 2:38 says:
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 16:30-31 says:
And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Romans 2:4 says:
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

If you could teach people of what takes place when we are saved, what would you say? What scriptures would you use to further explain and simplify things for them to easily understand?

JUSTIFICATION – “

Justification:
God’s declaration of a believer as righteous through the blood of His Son Jesus.

Justification is the full acquittal of all sins, charges brought up against them.

Justification is the act of a judge acquitting someone who is charged with crime. It is the opposite of condemnation. …Justification is a higher blessing of grace, than pardon. Pardon frees from the penalty due to sin, but it does not fully restore the lost favor of God. … Such is the greatness of divine grace to the sinner who returns to God through Jesus Christ, that he is treated as if he had never sinned, and this is imported in the declaration that he is justified.

Every guilty believer is both pardoned and justified. As repentance and faith are duties mutually implying each other, so pardon and justification are twin blessings of grace, bestowed together through Jesus Christ. All whom Jesus delivers from the wrath to come are freely justified from all things, and presented faultless before the presence of His glory. —John Dagg

Grace is God’s giving us something we cannot earn or deserve. According to Romans 11:6, “work” of any kind destroys grace—the idea is that a worker earns payment, while the recipient of grace simply receives it, unearned. Since salvation is all of grace, it cannot be earned. Faith, therefore, is a non-work. Faith cannot truly be considered a “work,” or else it would destroy grace.

SANCTIFICATION – “

Sanctification: The position and process of holiness by which a believer is set apart for God. Sanctification is the progressive work of the Holy Spirit. Sanctification explains how we grow in the Christian life through the grace that God has given us.

Hebrews 5:12 says:
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Philippians 1:6 says:
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

GLORIFICATION – “

Glorification: The perfection of God’s image and character in believers when they enter God’s presence. Glorification is the complete work of God in the life of a believer. OUR GLORIFICATION AWAITS CHRIST’S APPEARING!

1 John 3:2 says:
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
