And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.” Luke 24:49 ESV
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” ACTS 1:8 NKJVThe Resurrection of Christ
1Co 15:1 Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then, and you still stand firm in it.
1Co 15:2 It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you—unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place.
1Co 15:3 I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said.
# 1Co 15:4 He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said.
1Co 15:5 He was seen by Peter and then by the Twelve.
1Co 15:6 After that, he was seen by more than 500 of his followers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died.
1Co 15:7 Then he was seen by James and later by all the apostles.
1Co 15:8 Last of all, as though I had been born at the wrong time, I also saw him.
1Co 15:9 For I am the least of all the apostles. In fact, I’m not even worthy to be called an apostle after the way I persecuted God’s church.
1Co 15:10 But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me—and not without results. For I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace.
1Co 15:11 So it makes no difference whether I preach or they preach, for we all preach the same message you have already believed.

The Resurrection of the Dead
1Co 15:12 But tell me this—since we preach that Christ rose from the dead, why are some of you saying there will be no resurrection of the dead?
1Co 15:13 For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either.
1Co 15:14 And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless.
1Co 15:15 And we apostles would all be lying about God—for we have said that God raised Christ from the grave. But that can’t be true if there is no resurrection of the dead.
1Co 15:16 And if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised.
1Co 15:17 And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins.
1Co 15:18 In that case, all who have died believing in Christ are lost!
1Co 15:19 And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world. —NLT

1Co 15:20 But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who have died.
1Co 15:21 So you see, just as death came into the world through a man, now the resurrection from the dead has begun through another man.
1Co 15:22 Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life.
1Co 15:23 But there is an order to this resurrection: Christ was raised as the first of the harvest; then all who belong to Christ will be raised when he comes back. —NLT

- When you tie the promise of the Father to the promise of resurrection, you become unstoppable.
1Co 15:30 [For that matter] why are we [running such risks and putting ourselves] in danger [nearly] every hour [if there is no resurrection]?
1Co 15:31 I assure you, believers, by the pride which I have in you in [your union with] Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily [I face death and die to self].
1Co 15:32 What good has it done me if, [merely] from a human point of view, I fought with wild animals at Ephesus? If the dead are not raised [at all], LET US EAT AND DRINK [enjoying ourselves now], FOR TOMORROW WE DIE. [Isa 22:13; 2Co 1:8-9]
1Co 15:33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”
1Co 15:34 Be sober-minded [be sensible, wake up from your spiritual stupor] as you ought, and stop sinning; for some [of you] have no knowledge of God [you are disgracefully ignorant of Him, and ignore His truths]. I say this to your shame. —AMP

- New Heaven and New Earth
- Heaven is married to Earth.
The New Heaven and the New Earth
Rev 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away (vanished), and there is no longer any sea. [Isa 65:17; Isa 66:22]
Rev 21:2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, arrayed like a bride adorned for her husband; [Jhn 14:2-3; Gal 4:26; Heb 11:10]
Rev 21:3 and then I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “See! The tabernacle of God is among men, and He will live among them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them [as their God,][Lev 26:11-12; Ezk 37:27; Jhn 1:14; 1Co 3:16-17]
Rev 21:4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be death; there will no longer be sorrow and anguish, or crying, or pain; for the former order of things has passed away.” [Isa 25:8; Isa 35:10]
Rev 21:5 And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true [they are accurate, incorruptible, and trustworthy].” [Isa 43:19]
Rev 21:6 And He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts I will give [water] from the fountain of the water of life without cost. [Isa 55:1] —AMP
The Resurrection Body
1Co 15:35 But someone will say, “How are the dead raised? And with what kind of body will they come?”
1Co 15:36 You fool! Every time you plant seed you sow something that does not come to life [germinating, springing up and growing] unless it first dies.
1Co 15:37 The seed you sow is not the body (the plant) which it is going to become, but it is a bare seed, perhaps of wheat or some other grain.
1Co 15:38 But God gives it a body just as He planned, and to each kind of seed a body of its own [is given]. [Gen 1:11]
1Co 15:39 All flesh is not the same. There is one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish.
1Co 15:40 There are also heavenly bodies [sun, moon and stars] and earthly bodies [humans, animals, and plants], but the glory and beauty of the heavenly is one kind, and the glory of the earthly is another.
1Co 15:41 There is a glory and beauty of the sun, another glory of the moon, and yet another [distinctive] glory of the stars; and one star differs from another in glory and brilliance.
1Co 15:42 So it is with the resurrection of the dead. The [human] body that is sown is perishable and mortal, it is raised imperishable and immortal. [Dan 12:3] —AMP
