Romans 3:21-26
1. The Righteousness (Salvation) of God is
:
a. Not Through
Galatians 3:19, “Why, then, was the law given? It was added for the sake of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise was made would come.”
b.
Luke 24:44-45, “He told them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you—that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.”
c.
Galatians 2:21, “I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.”
2. Jesus:
a. Was God’s
Hebrews 9:22, “According to the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.”
b. Demonstrated God’s
Nahum 1:3, “The Lord is slow to anger but great in power; the Lord will never leave the guilty unpunished. His path is in the whirlwind and storm, and clouds are the dust beneath his feet.”
c. Revealed God’s Plan to
1 John 2:1-2, “My little children, I am writing you these things so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ the righteous one. He himself is the atoning sacrifice, for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world.”
