REAL CHRISTIANITY IS THE SOLUTION TO THE EVIL PLAGUING OUR WORLD… AND GOD IS CALLING YOU TO SPEND THE REST OF YOUR VERY BRIEF LIFE BEING A DISCIPLE WHO MAKES DISCIPLES
“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. 14 You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” —Matthew 5:13–16
IF CHRISTIANITY IS THE HOPE OF THE WORLD, WHY DOES IT LOOK LIKE AN IMPLODING, DIVIDED, HYPOCRITICAL JOKE?
Western Churchianity has Bible verses, but it’s sub-biblical. Many churchgoers have been inoculated against genuine discipleship. So, to be clear: faker Christianity is NOT the hope of the world.
“‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; 9 in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’” —Matthew 15:8–9
They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.—Titus 1:16
“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: ‘The words of him who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead.’” —Revelation 3:1
HERE ARE THREE EXAMPLES OF WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SOMEONE LEGITIMATELY DEFECTS FROM THE KINGDOM OF DEATH AND DARKNESS, PLEDGES ALLEGIANCE TO JESUS CHRIST, AND IS EMPOWERED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT TO IMPLEMENT THE DESIGNER’S DESIGN:
• A tax collector returns all the money he extorted (Luke 19:1–10 )
• A Jewish terrorist becomes a Christian missionary (Acts 9:1–22 )
• Ex-sorcerers burn a fortune in powerful magic books (Acts 19:18–20 )
HERE ARE SOME BLATANTLY CLEAR WORDS FROM GOD ALMIGHTY ARTICULATING THE EFFECT THAT GENUINE SPIRIT-POWERED ALLEGIANCE WOULD HAVE ON WOULD-BE CHILD-MOLESTERS, HUMAN TRAFFICKERS, MURDERERS, ABUSERS, ADULTERERS, TYRANTS, CORRUPT POLITICIANS, LIARS, CHEATERS, SCAMMERS, ETC.:
But that is not the way you learned Christ!— 21 assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, 22 to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.—Ephesians 4:20–24
Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 On account of these the wrath of God is coming. 7 In these you too once walked, when you were living in them. 8 But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.—Colossians 3:5–10
And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, 5 but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: 6 whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked. —1 John 2:3–6
WHAT DOES GOD WANT ME TO DO?
Repent of being a lukewarm lip-service churchgoer who reproduces lukewarm lip-service churchgoers and actually BE a disciple who MAKES disciples
1. Confess your treason & receive the King’s offer of pardon (1 John 1:9 )
2. Repent – Defect from the losing side of suicidal rebels (Luke 24:47 )
3. Pledge allegiance to Jesus the King with your mouth and through burial in water (Romans 6:3-5; 10:9-10; 1 Peter 3:21 )
4. Replace the limited thinking of our imploding culture with the Designer’s wisdom revealed in the Bible (Romans 12:2; Ephesians 4:23; Colossians 3:10; 2 Corinthians 10:5; Hebrews 10:16 )
5. Implement the Designer’s revealed wisdom into every area of life by the power of God’s Holy Spirit dwelling in you (Matthew 7:24–27; James 1:22–25 )
6. Recruit others to join the Christ’s victorious Kingdom
