This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their actions were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their what they do will be exposed. 21 But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.”

34 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35 Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
