Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
—Matthew 16:16-18 NIV
Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “Never, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to you!”
23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”
—Matthew 16:22-23 NIV

We are causing TROUBLE knowing NOW is their greatest chance!
From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.
—Acts 17:26 NIV 1984
God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.

As a result, many of them believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men. 13But when some Jews in Thessalonica learned that Paul was preaching the word of God in Berea, they went there and stirred up trouble.

But the king said to Araunah, “No. I’ve got to buy it from you for a good price; I’m not going to offer God, my God, sacrifices that are no sacrifice.” So David bought the threshing floor and the ox, paying out fifty shekels of silver. He built an altar to God there and sacrificed burnt offerings and peace offerings. God was moved by the prayers….
—2 Samuel 24:24,25 MSG
We are causing trouble because we were troubled first in our heart.

—Acts 17:16 NLT
So Paul, standing before the council,[e] addressed them as follows: “Men of Athens, I notice that you are very religious in every way, 23 for as I was walking along I saw your many shrines. And one of your altars had this inscription on it: ‘To an Unknown God.’ This God, whom you worship without knowing, is the one I’m telling you about.
—Acts 17:22-23 NLT
“He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man-made temples, 25 and human hands can’t serve his needs—for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need. 31b and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead.”
—Acts 17:24-25, 31b NLT
but some joined him and became believers. Among them were Dionysius, a member of the council,[h] a woman named Damaris, and others with them.

Next Steps:
1. I make a decision to invite Jesus into my life today and follow Him.
2. I need a heart that is troubled so I can cause trouble in others.
3. I will cause trouble by being 1/750 by taking a “first look” in the coffee shop.
4. I will MOVE and set into motion the gospel by inviting someone to church.
