Citizens and Servants

1 Peter 2:13-25

Submit to the government for God’s glory.

While rebellion is the default position of the human heart, submission is the default posture of the Christian life.

Serve well even if you suffer.

Christ-followers follow Christ’s example.

Jesus had ultimate trust in God.

Jesus had sacrificial love for others.

Jesus used his freedom to set others free.

With a submissive heart we stand for God.
