Living It Out This Week

Oh, to be a GOAT (Greatest Of All Time)! The pressure on us all, including dads, can be to outdo one another in many ways. Yet, Jesus wants us to have a different focus. May these verses help you hear Jesus’ heart and call on your life.

Sunday-Mark 9.30-41: What sticks out about Jesus words in this passage? How do modern day Christians, including ourselves, act like the disciples? Pray for wisdom!

Monday-Matthew 7.1-6: In order to see clear enough to help others in their sin we must first notice our own sin. What are the default sins and mindset of your life towards others? Where do you need new eyes to see as Jesus sees?

Tuesday-Psalm 139.1-24: Notice how the Psalm begins with the understanding of God’s knowledge about us and ends with a similar theme. Pray the prayer of verses 23 and 24 and look for the way of Jesus this week.

Wednesday-Psalm 51.1-19: What aspects of God’s character stick with you because of this Psalm? This was penned after King David had sinned against God and others, yet his hope was in the Lord. Pray for forgiveness of your sins!

Thursday-Mark 8.34-38: How does this passage help define Christian greatness? What is the goal of those who follow Jesus? We must be willing to have a different perspective or otherwise we may unintentionally get distracted from that which matters most.

Friday-Mark 9.41-10.16: What themes are present as Jesus continues to teach his disciples? What lessons are being impressed upon you as you read this passage?

Saturday-Mark 1.8: Join us in worship tomorrow! Pray for our worship tomorrow. Pray that our eyes would see the Lord! Invite someone to church.
