Let’s Talk About It
When Jesus was on the cross, He knew He had fulfilled all His heavenly Father had called Him to do - revealing Himself as 100% God. Then Jesus said, “I thirst” - revealing Himself as 100% human. Since Jesus is human, He can sympathize with our weaknesses and understand our struggles. In a deeper sense, when we thirst, it reveals the painful suffering and longing for something that can fully satisfy our soul. Jesus taught and embodied what truly fulfills and satisfies our souls and invites us to seek fulfillment in Him rather than worldly pursuits. As we come to Jesus daily, let’s ask Him what His will is and ask Him to give us the strength to accomplish His work. As we enthusiastically live out our faith in Jesus daily, others will come to know and follow Him.
