He’s a glutton and a drunk, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’

Matthew 9:10 GNT While Jesus was having a meal in Matthew's house, many tax collectors and other outcasts came and joined Jesus and his disciples at the table.

A BIG PARTY OF NOT SO GOOD PEOPLE! JESUS IS THERE…EATING/DRINKING!

Matthew 9:11 NLT But when the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with such scum?”

SCUM IS A TOUGH WORD! NO ONE LIKES SCUM!

IF YOU GREW UP IN CHURCH…YOU REALLY AVOID PEOPLE SCUM!

BUT NOT JESUS! THE CHURCH I GREW UP IN…TRIED TO AVOID SCUM!

OR STRAIGTEN IT OUT…NEVER HANGOUT WITH IT!

WHY WOULD JESUS HANG OUT? EAT AND DRINK AND NOT PREACH?

Mark 2:3-4 ERV But they could not get the man inside to Jesus because the house was so full of people. So they went to the roof above Jesus and made a hole in it. Then they lowered the mat with the paralyzed man on it.

WHAT RULES ARE YOU AFRAID TO BREAK? BUT WHAT IF BY BREAKING THE RULES…IT CHANGED THEIR LIVES…SAVES THEIR LIVES!

PEOPLE WHO DON’T KNOW CHRIST.
