Introduction
The No. 1 Myth About Money
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him. —Psalm 24:1 (NLT)
The Lord and The Steward
Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. (KJV)
Now, a person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful. (NLT) —1 Corinthians 4:2
Why Give?
For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. —John 3:16 (NLT)
So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. —Genesis 1:27 (NLT)
You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” —2 Corinthians 9:7 (NLT)
The people rejoiced over the offerings, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord, and King David was filled with joy. —1 Chronicles 29:9 (NLT)

Questions to Ponder:
What attitude towards giving is described in 2 Corinthians 9:7?
How does recognizing God as the owner of everything influence our perspective on stewardship?
Reflect on your personal belongings and finances. How can you shift your mindset to view yourself as a steward rather than an owner this week?
Consider the concept of “Displacement Theory” in your own life. What is one area where you can use your resources to displace negativity or evil with goodness and God’s love?
