Welcome

Thanks for reading the digital bulletin. We are honored you have chosen to worship with us today!

If it is your first time being with us, please know that we are very thankful that you are here. Our prayer is that God would touch your life today and meet your needs. If you are a first time visitor, we ask you take a welcome packet. Please fill out the welcome card so we can connect together and place it in the offering plate in the front, or the black box in the foyer.

We encourage everyone to attend Sunday school, morning service, and afternoon service the next few weeks. Pastor will be preaching a series on biblical change that will be very helpful to anyone in attendance. We truly believe that these messages can help those who are weary and burdened in their life. We pray God will bless and do some remarkable things in your life.

Praise the Lord for the new parking lot! Thank you to all of those who have given towards it! Despite the finished product, there is still remaining funds needed to pay for the project. We are asking you to partner with us in prayer and giving, that God will provide for this need. If God leads you to give, we are very thankful! For more information regarding giving towards this project, please ask Pastor Sage.

Thank you MBC for all that you do! Let’s continue to have a spirit of unity and draw closer to the Lord. Look below for the upcoming events.

A Tuned Ear

When a mother has a sick child, it is marvelous how quick her ears become while attending it. Good woman, we wonder she does not fall asleep. If you hired a nurse, it is ten to one she would. But the dear child in the middle of the night does not need to cry for water, or even speak; there is a little quick breathing—who will hear it? No one would except the mother; but her ears are quick, for they are in her child’s heart. Even so, if there is a heart in the world that longs for the things of God, God’s ear is already in that poor sinner’s heart. He will hear it. There is not a good desire on earth but the Lord has heard it.

Triumph Requires Sacrifice

During World War II a young soldier named David Webster of Easy Company of the 101st Airborne wrote his mother: “Stop worrying about me. I joined the parachutists to fight. I intend to fight. If necessary, I shall die fighting, but don’t worry about this because no war can be won without young men dying. Those things which are precious are saved only by sacrifice.”

Scripture often refers to the Christian life as a war—a spiritual battlefield. To answer the question of hymn writer Isaac Watts, we will not be carried to the skies on flowery beds of ease. And there is no victory apart from sacrifice. Just as our salvation was purchased at great cost, overcoming the enemy and walking in the Spirit require that we be willing to give up some things in order to triumph.
