Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God. —Habakkuk 2:4 (NLT)
3 TRUTHS ABOUT FAITHFULNESS
1. Every interaction is an opportunity to add value.
2. Every resource is an opportunity to multiply.
3. Every prompting is an opportunity to obey God.
#1 - EVERY INTERACTION IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO ADD VALUE
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. —Ephesians 4:29 (NIV)
#2 - EVERY RESOURCE IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO MULTIPLY
His master replied, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.”” —Matthew 25:21
“So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.” His master replied, “You wicked, lazy servant!” —Matthew 25:25-26 (NIV)
#3 - EVERY PROMPTING IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO OBEY GOD
“And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there.” —Paul, in Acts 20:22 (NIV)
Obedience is our responsibility. The outcome is God’s.
We will often overestimate what we can get done in the short term. But we will always underestimate what God can do through a lifetime of faithfulness. —Pastor Brad
Will you open your heart to Jesus today?
The really good news is that our standing with God isn’t based on the quality of your decisions, because we’ve all decided to do things that are wrong and sinful, but our standing with God is based on the goodness of God, and let me tell you how good he is. He loves you so much that he sent Jesus, his only Son, who was perfect in every way, who died for the forgiveness of our sins. God raised him from the dead, and our response is to simply decide. If you want to make that decision today, pray with us:
Heavenly Father, Forgive my sins. Jesus, save me. I trust you. Fill me with your Spirit, so I can pre-decide to follow you and to show your love in all that I do. Thank you fore new life. I give you all of mine. In Jesus’s name I pray. Amen
If you prayed that prayer today, reach out to us and let us know so that we can journey with you!
