CHOICE 1: Realize I’m not God, I admit that I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing and my life is unmanageable.
CHOICE 2: Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover.
CHOICE 3: Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ’s care and control.
CHOICE 4: Openly examine and confess my faults to myself, to God, and to someone I trust.
CHOICE 5: Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask him to remove my character defects.
6th CHOICE: Evaluate all my

WHY SHOULD I FORGIVE?
- Because God has
“Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.” Colossians 3:13
- Because
“Surely resentment destroys the fool, and jealousy kills the simple.” Job 5:2 (NLT)
“You are only hurting yourself with your anger.” Job 18:4 (TEV)
- Because I need forgiveness in the
“But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.” Mark 11:25 (NLT)
HOW DO I TAKE THIS STEP?
“Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven!” Matthew 18:21-22 (NLT)
