SUNDAY MANNA
Eze 34:26-27
26I will bless my people and their homes around my holy hill. And in the proper season I will send the showers they need. There will be showers of blessing.
27The orchards and fields of my people will yield bumper crops, and everyone will live in safety. When I have broken their chains of slavery and rescued them from those who enslaved them, then they will know that I am the LORD. NLT
IDENTITY AND IMPACT
Gen 3:21
The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.
Eph 2:7,10
That in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For we are His masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus for the good things He planned …
Know who you are in Christ
Your greatest battle is your identity
Luke 3:21-22
21 When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. 22 And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.” NKJV
Your greatest battle is knowing your identity, and not doubting who you are. The key to overcoming temptation is to knowing who you are in Christ. You don’t have to prove your worth. Do not associate your value with who you are or what you do. You are as fully accepted as Christ is. Your value was already determined 2,000 years ago in Christ.
1. Know you are
beloved and well-pleasing
Luke 4:1-3
1 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the desert, 2 where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry. 3 The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.”
If you are the Son, then turn this stone to bread
Luke 3:22
… the Holy Spirit descended … like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.” NKJV
Psa 68:5-6
5 A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.
Feed on your
father’s word for you
Matt 4:4
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
Cf Gen 3:11
11 And he said, “Who told you that you were naked?
Knowing your
, you overcome
Eph 1:7
7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.
Knowing who you are, you will
yourself
Jas 1:18
18 By His own desire He made us His own sons through the Word (message) of truth, that we, should be His treasured possession of all creation. JY
Treasured possession: Firstfruit, first place, the best, the most important, most precious, the crown of.
2. Don’t associate your value with what you
Luke 4:5-7
5 The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6 And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. 7 So if you worship me, it will all be yours.”
You are as fully accepted as
is!
Eph 1:5-6
5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. NKJV
Accepted charitoō: Grace, highly favored, honor with blessings. Strong’s
God has fully accepted and highly favored you as much as He has favored Christ!
You will serve as an act of
Luke 4:8
8 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’”
Cf Deut 6:13
13 Fear the LORD your God, serve him only and take your oaths in his name.
3. Don’t link your value with what you
Luke 4:9-12
The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down from here. 10 For it is written: “ ‘He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully; 11 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’” 12 Jesus answered, “It says: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
Your value - who you are, was settled
years ago
John 1:12
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. NKJV
Your failures do not change who you are
He sees you as you are.
He loves you as you are.
He calls you as you are.
He won’t leave you as you are.
Secure in who you are – you won’t be fearful of failures
Declare this every day with expectation:
I am a new creation and a child of the Most High God, a masterpiece redeemed and created in Christ Jesus.
I am a New Creation, my new genes is greater than the old genes. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
I am a seed of Abraham and I have a champion bloodline and am destined for great things, heir of the promise and heir of the world, blessed to be a blessing, shining like stars forever.
In Christ, I have every gift of grace needed to
live a superabundant life. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
I will not be stuck and be sour in life because of any setbacks.
He is always behind the scenes arranging things in my favor, fighting the battles for me and lining up great connections, opportunities and breakthroughs for me.
