Soul Shift - Week 2

From Consumer to Steward

See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! —1 John 3:1a NLT

The Fathers Perspective
- Prodigal Son - Your My Child and You’ve Come Home. All I Have is Yours.
- Brother - Your My Child and All I Have has Always Been Yours

  • I don’t measure up and must earn God’s approval and grace
  • God’s grace covers my sins. I’m thankful and try to be the best person I can be.
  • I am a child of God and a follower of Christ. As He sheds light on my path, I will walk in obedience, surrendered to His will.

You are My Child. I Love You and All I Have is Yours!

Faith allows us to see the unseen.

Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes Lord, so that he may see.” —2 Kings 6:17a (NIV)

Faith allows us to see what is already there.

Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses andchariots of fire all around Elisha. —2 Kings 6:17 (NIV)

Others

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. —1 Peter 4:10 NIV

as Though They are for the Lord

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. —Colossians 3:23 NIV

For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God. 12 So two good things will result from this ministry of giving—the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God. As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ. —2 Corinthians 9:10-13 NLT
