MOST PEOPLE the word “Monday” is synonymous with drudgery…
- 50% show up late // 80% don’t smile till 11:30 am
- Twitter did a poll - most negative word of the whole week is MONDAY
- “If you won the lottery what is the first thing you would do?” - people would quit.
- Pastors generally write their letters of resignation on Mondays…
- Saddest stat… it is the day of the highest amount of heart attacks and suicides…
Colossians 3:23 - 24
23 And whatsoever ye do,do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

If you are “doing” something with no heart - expect no reward…
WE TRY TO SEPARATE WHAT IS SACRED AND SECULAR
SACRED = connected to God. Dedicated for a divine purpose.
SECULAR = not connected to God or religion.
We often think - CHURCH IS SACRED…
My JOB - is SECULAR…
If God is WITH US… then there is no where we can be that God isn’t there.
Romans 12:1 - 2 MSG
1 - 2 So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

1. I WORK
Genesis 2:15 NIV
15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.
In God’s perfect world - PARADISE - God included work.
- WORK is not a curse.
- WORK is a blessing.
IN THE BEGINNING - GOD WORKED AND GOD CREATED WORK.

~ SIN will tempt you to demean the work you have. ~
Philippians 2:13 - 14
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

TO WILL -
If you are really living to worship God…
you are allowing Him to work on your will.
If God says “CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE” and you say…
“I do not feel like it”… you stopped worshiping.
TO DO -
OUR PRAISE PARTY ON SUNDAY - SHOULD HELP DEFINE OUR MONDAYS!

3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
COMMITMENT HAS TWO SIDES TO IT:
- to be entirely dedicated.
- pledged to a person.
PLEDGED HAS TO DO WITH A PROMISE OF TO WHOM YOU ARE COMMITTED.
DEDICATION HAS TO DO WITH THE HEART AND PASSION OF WHAT YOU DO.
WHEN OUR PASSION FOR WORK / FOR WEALTH IS ALL ABOUT COMPARING OURSELVES TO OTHERS THERE ARE ONLY TWO THINGS THAT CAN HAPPEN:
Complacency - “I HAVE ARRIVED. NO MORE NEED FOR CHANGE.”
Condemnation - “I CAN NEVER BE GOOD ENOUGH…”
- YOU CAN HAVE SAME OFFICE - DIFFERENT FOCUS
- SAME COMPANY - DIFFERENT COMMITMENT
- SAME DESK - DIFFERENT DRIVE
1 Corinthians 10:31
31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
Make a fresh dedication to look deeper into what you do.

3. GOD IS WORKING ON OTHERS
1 Corinthians 3:9 - “For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.”
- THERE IS A MISSION FOR MY MONDAY
- THERE IS A PURPOSE TO MY PAYCHECK
YOU ARE THE ANSWER TO SOMEONE’S PRAYER REQUEST
Matthew 4:19
19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
FAITH4LIFE IS TO BE KNOWN IN OUR COMMUNITY AS PEOPLE WHO LIVE OUT THE KNOWLEDGE:
I WORK WITH GOD - That changes my perspective
God’s working on me - so I see the point
God’s using me to work on others - SO I WON’T MISS THE PURPOSE!
