While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” —Acts 19:1-2 NIV

The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. —John 6:63 NIV


4 Characteristics of Wind Paralleled to the Holy Spirit

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. —Ephesians 4:30 NIV

Do not quench the Spirit. —1 Thessalonians 5:19 NIV

1. Wind is

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. —John 14:16-17 NIV

2. Wind is

The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” —John 3:8 NIV

Don’t grieve God. Don’t break his heart. His Holy Spirit, moving and breathing in you, is the most intimate part of your life, making you fit for himself. Don’t take such a gift for granted. —Ephesians 4:30 MSG

Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. —Proverbs 3:5 MSG
