SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS
WARM UP: What did you have for dinner yesterday? [Today we are going to see the importance of the “Re’s” of the Christian life, including remembering.]
HEAD: These questions help us examine the Word.
1. What are Paul’s circumstances in writing this letter?
2. Read 2 Timothy 1:1-2. Given Paul’s circumstances, what stands out about this greeting?
3. Read 2 Timothy 1:3-7. Paul uses several “re” words: remember, remind, recall, rekindle. Why is this concept of “re” so crucial in the Christian life? How does it combat the “one and done” mentality?
HEART: These questions help us wrestle with what we believe.
4. What are some things you need to remember in your Christian walk? Who do you rely on to remind you of these things?
5. Paul urges Timothy to “rekindle the gift of God.” What does this mean? What are some practical steps you can take to rekindle your own spiritual fire?
HAND: These questions help us bring truth and beliefs into our everyday life.
6. Reflect on the call to remember, remind, and rekindle. Which of these three “re” words resonates most with you right now, and what specific action will you take this week in response?
