Bro. Ernie McCoulskey has served as our Director of Missions in Kauf-Van Baptist
Association since early 2006. The Kauf-Van Association is made up of 75 churches and
missions ministering primarily in Kaufman and Van Zandt counties.
Before becoming Director of Missions, Ernie served as pastor of churches in North
Texas for 27 years. He was the Pastor at First Baptist Church in Terrell for 17 years of
that time. He holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Dallas Baptist University and a
Master’s of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort
Worth.
Ernie and his wife, Cathy, have been married since 1976 and have three adult children
and 8 grandchildren. In 2006 they moved from Terrell to rural Van Zandt County, where
they enjoy living the country life.
