Prelude
Praise Song
Welcome
The People Gather
L: Our souls long for you, O God.
All: When shall we behold your face?
L: Our souls are uneasy.
All: When shall hope lead us to praise you again?
L: During the day, your steadfast love sustains us.
All: During the night, your song washes over us.
L: Our hope leads us to praise you.
All: We praise you, our song of hope.

The People Pray
Lord, we have come to you this day bringing all we have, our lives, our hopes and dreams, our fears and sorrows. We place these before you in faith and hope, knowing that no matter what has happened you are with us and blessing us. Open our hearts to receive your words and your spirit, that we may find healing and comfort. Open our lives to the wondrous possibilities for service and joy that you offer to us. Ease our minds and spirits that we may hear the words of encouragement and peace this day. AMEN.

Kaddish The Kaddish is a hymn of praises to God found in Jewish prayer services.
*Exotolled and hallowed be the name of God throughout the world which He has created according to His will. And may He speedily establish His kingdom of righteousness on earth.
Praised by His glorious name unto all eternity.
Praised and glorified be the name of the Holy One, though He be above all praises which we can utter. Our guide is He in life and our redeemer through all eternity.
Our help comes from Him, the creator of heaven and earth.
The departed whom we now remember have entered into the peace of life eternal. They still live on earth in the acts of goodness they performed and in the hearts of those who cherish their memory. May the beauty of their life abide among us as a loving benediction. Amen.
L: May the Father of peace send peace to all who mourn, and comfort all the bereaved among us. Amen.
The Word of God for the People of God
Scripture Mark 6:35-44
35 Late in the day, his disciples came to him and said, “This is an isolated place, and it’s already late in the day. 36 Send them away so that they can go to the surrounding countryside and villages and buy something to eat for themselves.”
37 He replied, “You give them something to eat.”
But they said to him, “Should we go off and buy bread worth almost eight months’ pay[a] and give it to them to eat?”
38 He said to them, “How much bread do you have? Take a look.”
After checking, they said, “Five loaves of bread and two fish.”
39 He directed the disciples to seat all the people in groups as though they were having a banquet on the green grass. 40 They sat down in groups of hundreds and fifties. 41 He took the five loaves and the two fish, looked up to heaven, blessed them, broke the loaves into pieces, and gave them to his disciples to set before the people. He also divided the two fish among them all. 42 Everyone ate until they were full. 43 They filled twelve baskets with the leftover pieces of bread and fish. 44 About five thousand had eaten.
