Day 27: Worship today the God you expect to see that Day!

Worship is the act of ascribing ultimate value to something in such a way that it engages the entire being. See if you can find these truths in Revelation Chapters 4 and 5. God is in absolute control! His glory is brilliant! His grace and faithfulness will never end! He is too big too totally explain! He is at the center of everything! There is no one like God! He is the righteous judge of every man! Nothing is too hard for our God! His perspective is timeless! God is worthy of our undivided attention and unbridled adoration!

Q: What characteristics of God are mentioned in Chapter 4? What particular characteristic of God mentioned makes you awe the most?

Q: When is it hardest for you to concentrate on worshiping God? Ex. When you are sick and hurting? When bad things happen? What something really good is happening to me? When I’m busy? Other? What ways help you remain focused on God amidst various circumstances?

Q: How does understanding the future of our worship affect our worship today?

Q: What picture of Jesus do you get in Revelation Chapter 5? Do you tend to see Jesus more as the Lamb who was slain or the Lion who will return to make things right? What should be the appropriate balance?
