Savior and Lord
Part of Assume I Know Nothing
February 10, 2024

Take Notes Here:

1 John 4:14
Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Philippians 13:3
But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.

Savior =

Lord = or

Jesus as

Accepting a “savior” means that we have accepted we need to be saved.

John 14:6
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Acts 4:12
There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

Jesus is

• Ruler of all the kings of the world.
• All glory.
• All glory and power to him forever and ever!
• And all the nations of the world will mourn for him.
• “I am the Alpha and Omega - the beginning and the end,”
• “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come -“.
• The Almighty One.

Something or someone is always going to rule your life.

If you view Jesus as , but cancel him as , you will desregard his authority and power in your life.

If i view Jesus as but cancel him as , I’m going to view him with no relationship.

2 Peter 3:3-9
The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.

Jesus is a Lord who I should tremble before, while equally being a Savior I run to.
