JESUS CAME DOWN IN HUMILITY

Philippians 2:5-8 NASB Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, as He already existed in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself by taking the form of a bond-servant and being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death: death on a cross.

John 14:15 NASB

“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”

The Pride Cycle

  1. You think you can everything
  2. leads you to sin
  3. Sin leads to
  4. Out of pride, you that shame

James 4:6 NASB

But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Matthew 26:31-35 NASB

Then Jesus *said to them, “You will all fall away because of Me this night, for it is written: ‘I will strike down the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered.’ 32 But after I have been raised, I will go ahead of you to Galilee.” 33 But Peter replied to Him, “Even if they all fall away because of You, I will never fall away!” 34 Jesus said to him, “Truly I say to you that this very night, before a rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”
35 Peter said to Him, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” All the disciples said the same thing too.

Philippians 2:3-4 NASB
3 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves; 4 do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.

1 Peter 5:5 NASB
You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God is opposed to the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.
