Everyone Gives – Week 5
Malachi 3:8-10
God multiplies our giving when we offer it in surrender and faith. It has nothing to do with how much money we bring, but that we are willing to place it all in the hands of Jesus.
Luke 12:15 NLT – Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”
Luke 16:13 ESV – No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
Luke 18:25 ESV – For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.
Malachi 3:6-10 ESV – “For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed. 7 From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my statutes and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts. But you say, ‘How shall we return?’ 8 Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and contributions. 9 You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you. Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
2 Corinthians 9:7, 10-11 ESV – Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.
DEVELOP A
Malachi 3:8 ESV – Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and contributions.
1 Corinthians 3:6-9 ESV – I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. 9 For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.

Malachi 3:10 ESV – Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
Deuteronomy 15:11 ESV – For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’
Luke 12:48b ESV – Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more.
Galatians 6:10 ESV – So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Malachi 3:10 ESV – Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
Luke 6:38 ESV – Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.
Proverbs 11:25 NLT – The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.
Application:
1. “In what ways might I be withholding from God—not just financially, but also in time, talent, or trust?”
2. “How can I grow in trusting God’s promises, especially the one in verse 10, where He invites us to test His faithfulness?”
3. “What would it look like in my life or community if we truly brought the ‘full tithe’ into the storehouse?”
