Where is God?

Read Nahum 1:9-15

Icebreaker — Talk about a time you were completely let down by something you were really excited about.

  1. Why does God’s certain defeat of His enemies bring hope for Christians and hopelessness for non-Christians?

  2. How can God’s identification with His people in verses 9 and 11 serve as an encouragement to you when you are struggling?

  3. Do you agree that God is sovereign over all of our struggling and affliction? In what ways do you struggle to trust Him with this?

  4. How is a Christian’s hope in affliction different than a non-Christian’s hope in affliction? Do you have this kind of hope?

  5. Why does a deeper appreciation for Jesus Christ lead to more freely sharing the gospel? What would it look like for you to savor the gospel morel?
