We often have a picture of what life is supposed to be like. The school we attend, who we will marry, what kind of job we will step into, what kind of kids we will have and how we will parent them. Life usually doesn’t turn out the way we think it will. The Christmas story was filled with unmet expectations on the part of Joseph and Mary, but God was wanting them to trust not in their picture but in His plan. And so it is with us – will we have the courage to trust His plan or our picture?
Insignificant: Jesus came to earth through someone that some thought was “insignificant.”
Impossible: It seemed impossible for the immaculate conception, but God is the God of impossible situations.
Personal: God gets up close and personal through Jesus.
Action Points:
Are we living in a scene that we did not picture?
Where did we get our picture from?
Even when we don’t see Him – believe Him.
