SPIRIT OF REJECTION | Deliverance

He was despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
ISAIAH 53:3

And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”
Luke 2:49

The demonic spirit of double-mindedness first enters a person’s life through rejection. Rejection is a wound that usually begins early in life, and a wound left untreated develops into an infection.

For the LORD has called you as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth when you were refused, says your God.
ISAIAH 54:6

To compensate for rejection some become withdrawn like a turtle in his shell for protection. Others explode with anger and hatred, fighting bitterly against the pain and injustice. Rejected people often spend their lives seeking a meaningful identity outside of a true relationship with God.

HOW REJECTION ENTERS:

Rejection often begins at a young age; it can even start in the womb. Prenatal rejection is common and can occur with unplanned/accidental pregnancies

In your own experiences you may have seen instances where a father wanted a son but had a girl instead,

A person can also be rejected by his or her family. This kind of rejection can include abandonment by one or both parents, whether intentional or perceived; emotional or physical abuse from authority figures

Societal rejection includes rejection from peers due to awkward features, racial prejudice, social and economic differences, bullying, and mistreatment from authority figures (i.e., teachers or coaches).

Causes of rejection later in life:

• Being deserted or divorced by a mate
• Experiencing the death or unfaithfulness of a marriage partner
• Mental or physical cruelty caused by a husband or wife
• Shame caused by a court conviction of a criminal offense
• Having to serve a prison term
• A lowering of lifestyle standards caused by drug or alcohol addictions of a marriage partner
• Rejection in love or a broken engagement
• Becoming bedridden or crippled as a result of disease or an accident

REJECTION MUST GO!

Is. 49:15 “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him—

2 Cor. 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Is. 49:15 “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!

Luke 10:16 “Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”

Psalms 27:10 Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.

Psalms 94:14 For the LORD will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance.

Rom. 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Rom. 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. 18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. 19 The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all;
Psalms 34:17-19
