The Questions for Spiritual Growth

Our Cornerstone mission is To Know Christ and Make Him Known. Community Groups help us to live out our mission as we discuss the Scripture passage from the sermon, how to apply it, and pray for one another.

  1. Give some examples of things in creation that move us to praise and to stand in awe of God and His glory?

  2. In Matthew 18:3 Jesus says, “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.” In what ways is our faith supposed to be childlike?

  3. Read Matthew 7:7-11. How does this passage encourage us to pray more?

  4. In Psalm 8:3-5, David is amazed by God’s care for mankind. As a believer, what are some examples of God’s loving care in your life?

  5. How does Psalm 8 point to Christ? How can you share Christ and the gospel through Psalm 8?

  6. Psalm 8 begins and ends with praise to God for who He is and what He has done. Describe the importance of praise in the life of a believer. In what ways can you encourage others to praise God?
