Teach Us Holy Spirit

  1. Just think, Jesus told His disciples that the Holy Spirit had been

them all along, but would soon be them, indefinitely.

  2. In the original Greek text, the phrase “shall be in you” comes from the words “en humin” which can only be translated as “

”, which should clear up any “misunderstandings” or “mis-information!”

  3. Jesus told His disciples that after His departure, for the

in history, the Holy Spirit would come to take up a permanent residency in them.

  4. This means that He would not come for a

visit as He had done previously, resting upon and empowering them only for particular ministry purposes.

  5. Anyone who has received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and believes He died and was resurrected, has the HOLY SPIRIT living

    of them… RIGHT NOW!

  6. The Holy Spirit is: the Spirit of God; Counselor; Comforter; Coach; Advocate; Strengthener; Sanctifier; Spirit of Truth; Spirit of Grace; Spirit of Mercy; Spirit of Holiness; Spirit of Life. ….and our “

    !”

  7. According to the NIV Theological Dictionary of New Testament words, the Greek word for TEACH is didasko which means: to teach, inform, instruct, demonstrate, and prescribe. It also contains the idea of a

between teacher and student, instructor and apprentice.

  8. “Didasko” also involves knowledge, opinions, and facts about things, including artistic and technical skills, all of which manifest for those who

to their teachers and become learners and students.

  9. Holy Spirit will give us discernment and good judgement when we maintain a good

as a student would with his/her teacher, because He wants us to become skilled in every area of our lives…especially in the things of the Spirit.

  10. We must remember that

is a central part of the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

  11. Jesus said in John 14:27: “I am leaving you with a

    - peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. (Amplified Version)

  12. When we allow the Holy Spirit to teach us and walk according to His directions, we will find ourselves living with peace in our hearts and minds, and

will be able to defeat or overcome us.
