2 Kings 24:1-20
24:1-4 | The southern kingdom’s deportation occurred in three phases. The first was in 605 BC when Jehoiakim turned and rebelled against Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. The prophet Daniel was one of the captives taken at this time (Dan. 1:1-7).
24:10-16 | The second deportation took place in 597 BC when Nebuchadnezzar carried Jehoiachin captive to Babylon. The prophet Ezekiel was likely among this group of captives (Ezek. 1:1-3).
