TWO THIEVES
EASTER SUNDAY
Luke 23:39-42

Luke 23:39 NLT - One of the criminals hanging beside him scoffed, “So you’re the Messiah, are you? Prove it by saving yourself—and us, too, while you’re at it!” But the other criminal protested, “Don’t you fear God even when you have been sentenced to die? 41 We deserve to die for our crimes, but this man hasn’t done anything wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.”

WHAT

ARE YOU?
Romans 3:23 NLT – For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.

WHO/WHAT IS

TO YOU?

Matthew 16:13-16 NLT – When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”
14 “Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.”
15 Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

If I’m wrong about God then I wasted my life – If you are wrong about God then you wasted your eternity!

WILL YOU

GOD’S GRACE/FORGIVENESS?

Romans 10:9 ESV - If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Can you honestly answer these three questions:
• WHICH THIEF ARE YOU?
• WHO/WHAT IS JESUS TO YOU?
• WILL YOU ACCEPT JESUS’ GRACE/FORGIVENESS?

Ephesians 2:8-9 NLT – God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
