Living It Out This Week

Choices have consequences! Sometimes the consequences are individual and sometimes it goes to the community. Sin wants to master us but we can resist and be free. May these verses help you resist sin and rule over it.

Sunday-Genesis 4.1-16: What do you learn about God in these verses? When has God shown you justice and mercy at the same time? Pray you will not let sin conquer you!

Monday-Ephesians 4.29-5.2: Bitterness towards others will lead to sin and death (whether literal or figurative). Notice the traits put in contrast to bitterness in these verses. Pray for compassion towards self and others.

Tuesday-1 Peter 2.1-3: What do you crave? Peter talks about our need to crave the pure spiritual milk that comes in Christ. Bitterness and the like will stop us from eating. It is a poison which only kills our joy. Spend time focusing on Christ today!

Wednesday-Hebrews 12.12-29: What sticks out in this passage to you? Our ability to live at peace with one another will depend on our willingness to approach Jesus and not run away from Him. Gratitude for others and for what Christ has done will go a long way.

Thursday-Colossians 3.12-17: It is not good to think about what “not to do” instead we must focus on what we are to do. How will you put on the things listed in these verses?

Friday-Genesis 5.1-32: Why do we have this list of people? What purpose does this passage serve in helping us know God and rule over sin? Think about these questions as we prepare for worship on Sunday!

Saturday-John 1.14: Join us in worship tomorrow! Pray for our worship tomorrow. Pray that our eyes would see the Lord! Invite someone to church.
