Deeper Dive Future Fit

Day 1: Clothed with Power Reading: Luke 24:45-49, Acts 1:8

Devotional: Just as Jesus promised His disciples they would be clothed with power from on high, God desires to empower us today. This power isn’t for our own glory, but to be effective witnesses for Christ. Reflect on areas in your life where you feel powerless or inadequate. How might God’s power transform those situations? Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you afresh, clothing you with divine strength for the tasks ahead. Remember, it’s not about your abilities, but about being available and obedient to God’s calling.

Day 2: Faithful in the Present Reading: 1 Kings 19:19-21

Devotional: Elisha was diligently plowing his field when Elijah called him. This reminds us that God often calls us while we’re faithfully serving in our current roles. Are you fully engaged in your present responsibilities, or are you constantly looking for the next big thing? God values our faithfulness in small things. Today, approach your work, studies, or daily tasks with renewed dedication, knowing that your current faithfulness is preparing you for future opportunities. Ask God to help you see the eternal significance in your everyday actions.

Day 3: Responding to God’s Call Reading: Mark 1:16-20, Mark 2:13-14

Devotional: When Jesus called His disciples, their response was immediate. They left their nets, their tax booth, their familiar lives to follow Him. This prompt obedience challenges us. How quickly do we respond when God calls us to step out in faith? Are there areas where you’ve been hesitating to follow God’s leading? Reflect on what might be holding you back - fear, comfort, or uncertainty. Ask God for the courage to say “yes” to His call, trusting that His plans for you are good, even when they require sacrifice.

Day 4: The Anointing Transfer Reading: 2 Kings 2:9-15

Devotional: The transfer of anointing from Elijah to Elisha illustrates how God’s power and calling can be passed down through spiritual mentorship. Who are the “Elijahs” in your life - those whose faith and anointing inspire you? How can you position yourself to receive from their wisdom and experience? Conversely, consider who you might be called to mentor. Pray for opportunities to both receive and pass on spiritual blessings, always remembering that the ultimate source of anointing is God Himself.

Day 5: Transformed by Jesus’ Presence Reading: Acts 4:13-20

Devotional: The religious leaders were amazed at the boldness of Peter and John, recognizing that these “unschooled, ordinary men” had been with Jesus. Time spent in Christ’s presence transforms us. How intentional are you about spending time with Jesus through prayer, worship, and studying His Word? Reflect on how your character and actions demonstrate that you’ve “been with Jesus.” Ask God to make you more like Christ, that others might see His love and power shining through you, even in challenging circumstances.
