Colossians 2 part 2
Col 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
Col 2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Col 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
Col 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
1. Here we see our actions as Christians described as our

2. This description is both accurate and reminding us that our salvations begins the day we surrender and continues on as a life long journey.
Col 2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
3. Verse 7 uses three giving us a true picture of the Christian walk.
4. First the Apostle Paul tells the Colossians that they should be which means not easily moved.
5. Second we are to be in Christ for he is our rock and our foundation.
6. Third Christians should be stablished in the faith which means thoroughly .
7. There are several areas of our walk that we do not have to be dogmattic on but in areas of we are to be stablished.
8. The Christian walk is rooted in the word, built up in Jesus, firm in the faith, and fourth continues in .
9. Thanksgiving is the that holds together the previous three characteristics.

14. We are being warned that certain people will try to sway us with ideology that oppose the teachings of scripture.
15. Although some philosophy is good and true much of it is self-centered and .
16. Vain deceits are arguments that come from no form of or have no actual foundation.
17. Both of these techniques are devices that Satan uses to people away from the truth and into believing there is joy in this life outside of a relationship with God.

18. Jesus was the embodied of God and in Him were all the attribute of God.

2Pe 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
2Pe 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
2Pe 1:6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
2Pe 1:7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
2Pe 1:8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
20. The only things that we should be adding to our walk are things that our faith.
