Today we will look into God’s view concerning the primary purposes of relationships.

Question: What are the primary purposes of relationships?
• Primary purpose of relationship is to know, love, and enjoy God forever. Jn. 8:19, 54, 55; 17:3. 1 Ch. 28:9. Ps. 9:10. Is. 53:11. Je. 9:23, 24; 31:33, 34. Ho. 6:3. 1 Co. 15:34. 2 Co. 4:6. 2 Th. 1:8. He. 8:11, 12. 1 John. 4:6; 5:11, 20; Rev. 4:11

• The secondary purpose of relationships concern expressing the importance of a relationship with Jesus with everyone we come across, loving others even as we love ourselves.
Pr. 3:27, 28. Mat. 7:12; 22:39, 40. Rom. 13:8, 10. Ga. 5:14. Col. 3:14. 1 Ti. 1:5. Ja. 2:8

Matthew 28:19-20 tells us there are two ways of fulfilling our secondary purpose in this life: Evangelism and making disciples.

Our primary purpose is to be good disciples personally.
We do this by knowing and loving God.

Our secondary purpose is helping others to know and love God in an ever increasing, passionate relationship with Him.

Tract Reads:
Did I firmly believe, as millions say they do, that the knowledge and practice of religion in this life influences destiny in another, religion would mean to me everything.
I would cast away earthly enjoyments as dross, earthly cares as follies, and earthly thoughts and feelings as vanity. Religion would be my first waking thought, and my last image before sleep sank me into unconsciousness.
I should labor in its cause alone. I would take thought for the morrow of Eternity alone. I would esteem one soul gained for heaven worth a life of suffering. Earthly consequences should never stay my hand, nor seal my lips. Earth, its joys and its griefs, would occupy no moment of my thoughts. I would strive to look upon Eternity alone, and on the Immortal Souls around me, soon to be everlastingly happy or everlastingly miserable. I would go forth to the world and preach to it in season and out of season, and my text would be, “what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul?”

A Faithful Steward of Relationships need remain a Faithful Steward of Truth. Which means: I am careful about hearing God’s word, reading Gods word, studying Gods word, memorizing and meditating in God’s word.

• We bring

to the lost, not the to Christ.
• God holds us responsible for the contact not the conversion.

Question 3. How do I get over the fear of evangelism?
• First off,

is normal.
• Even Paul asked for prayer that he would be bold.
• Eph. 6:19
• The best way is to make it a pattern-do it regularly.

In closing …
