SUNDAY MANNA
Psa 85:10-12
Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other. 11 Faithfulness springs forth from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven. 12 The LORD will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest. NIV
Great Breakthroughs Through Frustrations
From time to time, we go through frustrating situations
We all encounter frustrating situation and people. God didn’t send the frustrations as we are already in a imperfect world. He allow it not just to make us better but to take us through in and in the process, experience greater breakthroughs.
1. You are a man of fearless courage
Judges 6:1-6
The people did evil in the LORD’s sight. So the LORD handed them over to the Midianites for seven years. 2 The Midianites were so cruel that the people made hiding places for themselves in the mountains, caves, and strongholds. 3 Whenever the they planted their crops, marauders would attack, 4 camping in the land and destroying crops. They left them with nothing to eat, taking all the sheep, goats, cattle, and donkeys. 6 So the people was reduced to starvation by the Midianites. Then the people cried out to the LORD for help. NLT
God often speaks through His light, but sometimes He speaks through pain.
Judges 6:7
7 When the people cried to the LORD because of Midian, …
Judges 6:8-13
8 he sent them a prophet, who said, “This is what the LORD God, says: I brought you up out of the land of slavery. 9 I snatched you from the power of the hand of all your oppressors. I drove them from before you and gave you their land. 10 I said to you, ‘I am the LORD your God; do not worship the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you live.’ But you have not listened to me.” 11 The angel of the LORD came and sat down under the oak in Ophrah, where his son Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress to keep it from the Midianites. 12 When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, “The LORD is with you, mighty warrior.” 13 “But sir,” Gideon replied, “if the LORD is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all his wonders that our fathers told us about when they said, ‘Did not the LORD bring us up out of Egypt?’ But now the LORD has abandoned us and put us into the hand of Midian.”
Frozen in fear - hearing the wrong thing
Judges 6:21
21 With the tip of the staff that was in his hand, the angel of the LORD touched the meat and the unleavened bread. Fire flared from the rock, consuming the meat and the bread. And the angel of the LORD disappeared.
Hearing the truth – set you free
His promises are unconditional
Speaking the truth sets you free
2. You have been given the strength you need
Judges 6:14-15
14 The LORD turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save the people out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?” 15 “But Lord,” Gideon asked, “how can I save them? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.”
If you define your strength based on circumstances and experience – you
yourself
You have the strength you need
3. You have His Presence
Judges 6:16
16 The LORD answered, “I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites together.”
His Presence keeps you in perfect peace
Judges 6:16, 22-24
22 When Gideon realized that it was the angel of the LORD, he exclaimed, “Ah, Sovereign LORD! I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face!” 23 But the LORD said to him, “Peace! Do not be afraid. You are not going to die.” 24 So Gideon built an altar to the LORD there and called it The LORD is Peace. To this day it stands in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
Isa 26:3
3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. NKJV
