Statement of Awareness

Pastor Ray
Understanding God’s awareness brings an unmistakable sense of calmness, comfort, and confidence.
1. God is fully aware of our anguish.
John 19:24b-25 / ESV, “So the soldiers did these things, 25 but standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.”
Psalm 31:7 / NLT, “I will be glad and rejoice in your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul.”
Psalm 38:8-9 / NLT, “I am exhausted and completely crushed. My groans come from an anguished heart. 9 You know what I long for, Lord; you hear my every sigh.”
2. God is fully aware of our faithfulness
When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!”
Second Chronicles 16:9 / NLT, “The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. What a fool you have been! From now on you will be at war.”
Proverbs 20:6, “Everyone talks about how faithful he is, but just try to find someone who really is!” (GNT).
Luke 16:10 / ESV, “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.
3. God wants me to be aware that my path is harder because my calling is higher.
John 19:27 / ESV, “Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.”
