Big idea
God’s law reveals the character and the standards of God, and
marks the way in which human beings can express love for God
and for each other.
THIS MIGHT SURPRISE YOU:
1. The 10 Commandments were
were
Exodus 20:1,18-19,21, Deuteronomy 5:3-4
2. The 10 Commandments are simply the
commands given to Moses.

1. Civil laws = governed the nation of Israel**
2. Ceremonial laws = about various kinds of sacrifices and other temple practices
3. Moral laws = declared what God deemed right and wrong

Loving God
